Starkey IS STANDING BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT.

I met with an Audiologist today at no expense to myself, and I am very confident that we will solve whatever problems existed with the original fitting and programming issues, ALL AT NO COST TO MYSELF THANKS TO Lisa Richards & Leah at STARKEY CORPORATE.

THIS IS MY LAST UPDATE.

THANK YOU FOR THE HELP.

After being contacted by Starkey, we are now resolving my technical issues and they (Starkey) have put me in touch with a recommended Audiologist. I am confident we will work this out.

I\'ll update as it unfolds.

I purchased the most expensive and top of the line hearing aids from a Starkey rep. Cost is close to $4000 for the pair.

After many repeat visits that failed to make these hearing aids usable and not completely distorted sound output at the place I purchased them. The problem is a lack of competency at the place of purchase, so I was forced to go back to my 2 year older pair of brand "Phonak" hearing aids, I have that cost 1/2 as much and are completely functional after getting them retuned. Since all the other dealers want to charge me $400 just to tune the Starkeys which may or may not even be usable.

Now I am stuck with 4000 dollars worth of useless hearing aids because the factory at Starkey will not respond to my Emails.

My only recourse is the factory, and they wont even respond after initial contact. I cannot afford to pay someone else to tune these and shouldnt have to since they are still warranted and unused.

DONT BUY STARKEYS_ THEY WONT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT.

Monetary Loss: $4000.

Location: Waldport, Oregon

I also have a pair of Starkey hearing aids. The Wi series, cost $4800.00.

After two years of adjustments, I still cannot hold a conversation. This hearing is supposed to be the best.

I have had four sets of hearing aids, the Starkey is the most expensive and worst performing.

Over the last decade I have had 3 Starkey hearing aids and had problems with each of them. The biggest issue was with their technical support staff.

When I would have the devices returned to them for repairs, and they all had problems, they would be returned with a new problem. Most recently I purchased a $2000.00 behind-the-ear aid and it was bad out of the box. I had put a $1000.00 deposit down only to find that while they will take it back and refund my deposit I have to pay shipping and handling and a testing fee (whatever that is) and a restocking charge.

In addition, I have to wait 14 days for what's left of my deposit after all the deductions. This is a toxic company that doesn't stand behind its products.

I am a long time user o Starkey but my two aids are bad and costly to have repaired. Only last a month or two and then go back for weeks at a time. I wish I could find a new supplier.

Ihave sold Starkey Products for almost 30 years and they are a great company and organization.

They have representatives throughout the United States and I am confident you contact the person named Lisa at extension 2492 of the Starkey Corporate office as indicated above, she will put you in touch with their local representative who will resolve your problems. You could very well be correct in that the dispenser where you purchased the hearing aids isn't completely competent in the use of the Starkey software, but I can assure you the Starkey Representative is.

The sole owner of Starkey is a man named Bill Austin and he has a world-wide reputation of taking care of people and I can assure you he will take care of you.

He takes his work and his reputation, and that of his company, very seriously. Please have patience.
